Offline Commitment: Share Gallery is designed as an offline application. We do NOT collect, upload, or share your personal media files or private data with our own servers.
1. Overview
Share Gallery is a multi-functional offline application that allows users to:
View photos
Play videos and music using high-performance local hardware/software decoders (VLC & ExoPlayer)
Manage files
Transfer files between devices via local P2P connection
2. Data Collection (What We Don't Collect)
We pride ourselves on Zero Personal Data Collection:
No Accounts: No registration, login, or email is required to use the app.
No Media Collection: We never "see" or upload your photos, videos, or music. They stay strictly on your device.
No Personal Logs: We do not track who you share files with or what files you choose to manage.
3. Permissions We Use
Unified File & Media Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
We use this single "All-in-One" permission to provide a seamless experience. It allows the app to access and manage your Photos, Videos, Music, and Documents simultaneously. This enables both the Gallery features and the File Manager (renaming, deleting, and moving) in one place without needing multiple separate permissions.
System Settings (WRITE_SETTINGS)
Used exclusively to allow you to set your favorite music tracks as a phone Ringtone or Alarm directly from the app.
Install Unknown Apps (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES)
As part of the File Manager features, this allows you to manually install Android package files (APKs) that you have stored on your device or received via P2P transfer.
Camera & Scanning
Used exclusively for scanning QR codes to establish a fast, secure connection between devices during P2P transfers.
Nearby Devices & Network
Used for local file discovery and sharing between devices. We do NOT track or store your geographical location.
Foreground Services & Notifications
Ensures that your music continues playing in the background and large file transfers don't get interrupted. We use notifications to provide playback controls and transfer progress.
4. Local Data Storage & Preferences
To improve performance and user experience, Share Gallery stores certain data locally on your device:
Media Cache: Thumbnails for videos and music to speed up gallery loading.
App Settings: Your preferences for the music player theme and playback mode.
Crash Diagnostics: If the app crashes, a temporary log may be stored locally to help the app recover and notify you on the next launch.
This data is never transmitted to our servers and stays strictly on your device.
5. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob & Consent: We use AdMob to show ads. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage your privacy choices and consent for personalized advertising.
We may use AdMob-provided analytics to understand general app usage and ad performance.
Analytics data is aggregated and non-personal
We do not access personally identifiable information
7. Data Sharing

Sell user data
Share personal data
Store user data on external servers
All operations are performed locally on your device except for third-party services mentioned above.
8. Children's Privacy
Share Gallery is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13. However, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
